The Washington Post, in its zeal to destroy Roy Moore’s Senate campaign, omitted the fact that one of Moore’s accusers, Debbie Gibson, worked as a sign language interpreter for Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden, and is actively campaigning for Moore’s Democrat opponent, Doug Jones.
Gibson is a long-time Democrat activist who worked for Hillary Clinton’s campaign in 2016.
GOP TO BLOCK MOORE FROM BECOMING US SENATOR
Senate Republicans scrambled on Friday to find a way to block Roy S. Moore’s path to the Senate, exploring extraordinary measures to rid themselves of their own nominee in Alabama after accusations emerged that he had made sexual advances on four teenage girls when he was in his 30s.
ROY MOORE’S TURN
Right on cue, the day after the ballots are printed and it is too late for the GOP to select another senate candidate, the Dems hire a woman who is willing to accuse Roy Moore of groping her in 1979.
Leigh Corfman, 53, told the Washington Post that she had “sexual contact” with Roy Moore, the GOP nominee for a U.S. Senate seat in Alabama, in 1979 when she was 14-years-old and he was a 32-year-old district attorney.
You remember 1979. That was the year Arkansas’s Attorney General, Bill Clinton, RAPED Juanita Broaddrick.
Moore has been a candidate in four hotly-contested statewide political contests, twice as a gubernatorial candidate and twice as a candidate for chief justice. He also has been a three-time candidate for local office, and he has been a national figure in two ground-breaking, judicial fights over religious liberty and traditional marriage.
After over 40 years of public service, if any of these allegations were true, they would have been made public long before now. Because “Senator Moore” would be extremely helpful to the Trump Administration, the Dems & their allies in the Mainstream Media will stop at nothing to destroy Moore’s chance of winning.
POLLS HAD MOORE AHEAD BY DOUBLE DIGITS
Until the Washington Post published their allegations this week, Moore was winning over the Democrat candidate, Doug Jones, with a double-digit lead. Since the allegations were made public, he has dropped to a single-digit lead. With barely four weeks remaining, in a race for the U.S. Senate with national implications, it is no surprise that the Democratic Party and the country’s most liberal newspaper would come up with a fabrication of this kind.
EVANGELICALS SUPPORT MOORE
Alabama voters head to the polls December 12th for this special election. Prior to these allegations, the Democrat senate candidate, Doug Jones, had little chance of winning. Moore is well-known and well-liked for his principled defense of the Ten Commandments, and his opposition to same sex-marriage.
Moore easily beat sitting Senator Luther Strange in the GOP Senate Primary in September.
Many of Moore’s supporters are strong Christians so they are likely to be disgusted at the idea that a man would do this to a teenage girl. But Moore’s supporters are unlikely to vote for Jones, either. If they are troubled by these allegations, they will merely stay home on election day.
ALABAMANS DID NOT LIKE GOVERNOR’S AFFAIR WITH STAFFER
When it became public that Alabama Governor Robert Bentley was having an affair with a middle-aged staffer, the public was outraged. Though he won re-election handily, in April 2017 the legislators moved quickly to impeach Bentley. Just days later he resigned in favor of Lt. Governor Kay Ivey.
So, the question becomes: With mere allegations against Roy Moore, and no proof, will Alabama voters send him to Washington D.C. as their U.S. Senator?
The Democrats have repeatedly used this tactic against GOP candidates, with some success. In 1991, at the Clarence Thomas Supreme Court Confirmation Hearing, it appeared he would get Senate approval. CAN’T HAVE THAT!!! Oh, the horrors of have a black Conservative on the highest court in the land!
As the hearing was winding down and the committee was about to vote to confirm, the Dems hired Anita Hill to testify that Thomas had made “sexual” remarks to her when they worked together some years earlier. These allegations turned the confirmation hearing into a TV spectacle and extended the hearing FOR DAYS. Thomas’ support on the committee dwindled. In the end he was confirmed, but just barely.
Although they failed to keep Clarence Thomas off the bench, the Dems knew, with the advent of the anti-sexual harassment and the anti-men crusade, they had a winning strategy.
The Dems, without any proof, alleged that John McCain had had a long-time mistress. Of course, for maximum damage, they made this allegation as he was running for president in 2008. This, despite denials by both the alleged mistress, Vicki Iseman, and McCain.
Dems used sexual harassment allegations against Herman Cain when he was running in the GOP presidential primary in 2012. AGAIN, CAN’T HAVE A BLACK CONSERVATIVE. Must keep blacks on the Democrat plantation. Despite the fact that the allegations were only “inappropriate’ language, they forced Cain out of the presidential race.
MOORE CAMPAIGN’S RESPONSE:
Moore campaign chair Bill Armistead released the following statement on Thursday:
“Judge Roy Moore has endured the most outlandish attacks on any candidate in the modern political arena, but this story in today’s Washington Post alleging sexual impropriety takes the cake.”
“The Washington Post has already endorsed the Judge’s opponent, and for months, they have engaged in a systematic campaign to distort the truth about the Judge’s record and career and derail his campaign. In fact, just two days ago, the Foundation for Moral Law sent a retraction demand to the Post for the false stories they wrote about the Judge’s work and compensation. But apparently, there is no end to what the Post will allege.”
“The story was full of all of the same distortions and innuendos that characterized past political attacks on Judge Moore. Judge Moore is man of impeccable character who served our country during a time of war in Vietnam and is a true patriot who does not back down from those who violate our constitution. He has always served with integrity and according to the highest ethical standards.”
“It should be noted that the Washington Post is one of the most liberal newspapers in the country, endorsed Hillary Rodham Clinton for President, and has become the volunteer attack dog against conservatives for the Democratic National Committee.”
Diane L. Gruber
Bill Armistead went on to say:
“In the past week, two reporters for the Washington Post have harassed family, friends and neighbors and have also attempted to gain access to the Foundation of Moral Law building under false pretensions.”
“The two investigative reporters who wrote this piece on Judge Moore have 20 articles to their individual or collective credit since last year. Of those 20 articles, 17 are hits on either President Trump, Breitbart Executive Chairman Steve Bannon, or other conservative issues or initiatives. That should tell you everything you need to know about their purpose in life.”
“Voters in Alabama can see through the sleazy tactics of the Washington Post who are trying to discredit Judge Moore. They may have declared war on Judge Moore but Alabamians will have the final say when they send Judge Moore to the U.S. Senate on December 12th.”
